What we measure

Our proprietary framework captures a wide array of factors to provide the most accurate and comprehensive carbon footprint assessments.


We assess the impact of all the crops in a crop rotation, as each species has a different influence on carbon storage and emissions.

Plot Geographies

Our process takes into account the unique geographical features of a project’s terrain, from plot size to soil type, which can all influence a plot’s carbon footprint.

Crop Yields

By tracking crop yields, we can assess the efficiency of agricultural practices and their impact on carbon emissions.


We assess irrigation practices, as the amount of water used and the energy required to distribute it have an impact on one’s carbon footprint.

Cover Crops

We evaluate the use of mineral fertilisers, which, although beneficial for crop growth, make a significant contribution to a farm’s greenhouse gas emissions.


We measure the extent and nature of tillage activities to calculate the emissions produced from the energy consumption of the farming machinery involved.
